Capture One won't start up
I bought Capture One 21, yesterday. After installing, I started it up and imported my Lightroom library, which was about 125k images. After it finished I shut down the app and logged out of my machine. When I later started the app back up, it just sat on the loading dialog and never opened. After waiting 10 or so minutes I forced quit the app. When I relaunched I got the dialog letting me know that I can report the issue to Apple. After pressing "report" (or "ignore") the app just beach balls and never opens. So I decided to try a fresh install of C1 21. Nope. I checked that I had the latest OS updates and installed 12.0.1. Also didn't fix the issue. At this point I'm pretty unhappy with my experience. I'm running the app on a MacBook Pro with a 3.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7. It's not as speedy as newer machines but Adobe programs work fine. Any suggestions?

125k images
How long did it take to import that many images? My guess is that import plus preview generation would take many, many hours.
Were it me I'd start up Capture One before I went to bed and see what the state of things are in the morning. Could be things are really screwed up or it could be that it takes a lot longer to initially process that many images than you would expect.

Thanks for the response. The import took about 3 hours. I thought the same thing so let one of the start-up attempts run for an hour.
It would be helpful if the C1 dialog provided more of a status than "Loading...". Anyway, I'll give this a shot before I hit the hay, later. I'm also wondering if there are any files I can delete, even if that means losing my LR import data?

I ended up using the following instructions to uninstall C1. After a fresh install, I'm able to use the app. https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002402377-How-do-I-uninstall-Capture-One-#h_01F12NXTS91TK8CTRGD0BZ9FVG
