Default folder for imports

How can I change the folder which the import dialogue choses to import from. Every time I import an image I have to navigate through my files to find the right location. Can this be set to "last location used" or similar?

    Session or catalog? And is it the same session or catalog each time, or a different one?

    Catalogue, and the same one each time. I've been selecting individual files to import.

    And they are all in the same location? A folder on your computer, presumably?

    Not sure. For me it has generally defaulted to the last folder I imported from, but then I generally have to change it anyway, because I'll be importing from a new one. I think that if you click the location it's proposing, you get a drop down list of the recent ones, or does that not work either?
