I'm disappointed not to be able to activate version 22 with a key purchased 3 days before the release of the new version

I purchased a license for Capture One 21 3 days before the release of version 22. I thought that next year I will have an upgrade to version 22. Unfortunately this is not the case. if I had known that this would be the case I would have waited those 3 days ;(
