Capture one 22 and EOS 1Dx MIII WiFi tethering issue
Using the WFT-E9A And connecting to an MBP running Big Sur. The camera shows up as an option in apture One. When I shoot a frame after a minute or so I am given a network error with a code 11. Any thoughts? I’m trying this using an airport base station connected to the computer via Ethernet cable. as a test of the connection, I can start the eos utility, that works fine. As per instruction, I make sure it is not running when connecting to Capture One.
my guess is it is related to the age of the router, but maybe not. I’m open to suggestions.
I know the WFT-E9A and camera work fine as I use it via both phone hot spot and other WiFi connections to ftp photos to servers.

John,
I note you are using a WFT-E9A and the release notes specifically mention E9B as supported at the point of release.
So maybe I should abandon my thoughts of testing my old E1A (or whichever one it is")? ;)
Back in the day there were 2 versions of the device due to different frequency requirements for legal use in the USA and other parts of the world.
Do the E9A and E9B differ for the same reason or are there other factors in the specs that may be involved in what you are experiencing?

SFA,
Thanks for pointing out the WFT-E9A vs WFT-E9B. I'm guessing it is frequency related, I know other devices have the same requirements. Seems like the frequency wouldn't matter, but that is out of my paygrade.
Looking at Canon USA site E9A is listed and Canon Europe it is listed as E9B. Guess I have to wait and see if support for mine is listed at some point.
While I have not tried it, I'll have to try in internal WiFi, however that signal is not as strong.
