Capture One 22, HEIF/HEIC support
The first time I have not pre-ordered the upgrade, nor did I purchased it so far.
I would like to know first if the long, long time asked fix for HEIF, make it "long, long, long, long, very long" time asked fix has been implemented. I will not keep using the free Irfanview to display and process portrait HEIF images. Than so far, Capture One displays only the "landscape" heif image, but not the portrait. Import lacks previews, display stays dark. I do not want to wait longer. If not fixed, I am sadly back to Lightroom. Forget the thousands and thousands of "unsupported" raw image formats from older cameras, I could endure that by keeping Lightroom catalogs alive, or by tedious work in converting these images into DNG.
Also the time stamp red off the mp4 videos is wrong. If you sort images by date, they land in all wrong directories. That problem I reported since Capture One 12, and I think it should be taken seriously and fixed.

I'm with you on the handling of mp4 videos, really annoying how they don't show up in the correct order, and you can't treat them like still images by tagging, etc. Also, the playback quality is poor - the colors are dull compared to how they should look. With so many photographers doing hybrid still/video, it's overdue that C1 treat videos as equal partners.

It's not really a "problem", it's a support feature request:

That is a most creative approach to the, let me still use the word, "a problem with Capture One team." Everything what you might file with them will be reported as "solved." An email follows asking for your level of satisfaction. But the "solved" means in their lingo merely "we notified the developers." Nothing more than that. The issues which I have are all so to speak low tech. Just a boring stuff, like file handling, file format processing, dealing with timestamps, interface details. I am not sophisticated enough as a photographer to really touch the fine details in the complex image processing of the Capture One, but I truly believe they are the best in it. What we need though, is some tender care in these lowly aspects. No rocket science in pixel processing.
