Feedback on C22 - New features poorly implemented

I am a longstanding user of Capture One and have always updated to the newer version.
Yet with C22 I will skip. I have installed the C22 as trial and tested the panoramic function.

Are you serious?

I am using the free and quite dated Microsoft Image Composite Editor, ICE.

C22 frequently crashes when stitching 3-4 ARW 24 Mpx files together in high resolution, mind you on a 16 GB RAM i5. WTF?
Stitching errors occur in examples where ICE works fine.The panorama options are much fewer in C22 than in ICE, ICE also allows to rotate perspective and most of all, ICE has an autocomplete function that works surprisingly well in many cases.


I am appalled that this panoramic function is so purely beta-style implemented, that a free program from 2015 outperforms it by leagues.

I am not going to upgrade this time not because of the cost but to make a signal. Folks, get your act together.

    This is repeated several times every day - I can only assume it appears in invisible pixels or something, because of course you'll have had a look around the forum to get a feel for it before posting your rant, right?

    I remember MS ICE.  Quite useful as I recall.

    @Keith: And yet, due to unknown mysteries, you found enough time to waste on my post. If you did read the other posts, they all report different issues. I don' t experiences stripes as Fuji users, I do get sometimes a panorama results in contrast to Leica M users. I experience simple stitch errors or program crashes. And I see the functionality as inferior to a free 6 year old mini program. Also, I think that it is worthwhike ti spread such experiences in a user forum to caution others that might be tempted to upgrade simply for those features.

    Good on you Christian for alerting other potential upgraders to the poor implementation of C1 panorama function. I downloaded the trial and did comparisons with Microsoft ICE and was equally unimpressed with C1 results as you were. Photomatix makes the C1 HDR implementation look a bit ordinary also.
