    Log in to your C1 account, there is a button "Manage licenses", and then a link "activation history" where you should be able to deactivate. If that helps your problem I don't know.

    I don't know which operating system you are using but if you are on Windows, open the task manager and look down the list of running services for the Capture One instance that is running. Then right click on the running Capture One service and then left click on "End Task". That should do the trick. You can also just reboot your computer and that will stop the running C1 service as well. The same thing happens to me occasionally and this procedure correct the problem.
