"Correct" Lens Corrections
I downloaded a C1 trial and while there's so much to love about it I'm really hung up on the Lens Corrections being sliders that are off by default with no apparent prescribe value. I'm all for having the option to tune things but I'm dismayed that there's no "correct" value by default.
I took a raw file taken on my R5 with the RF 50mm F/1.2 and compared the corrections made by Canon Digital Photo Professional and Capture One: best I can tell the "correct" value for Light Falloff correction in C1 is around 60 on the scale of 0-120. As much as I hate how freakishly slow DPP is I simply love that the corrections are on by default and look good without having to tweak.
I read another post on the subject that justified this as being intentional and up to the end user but I feel that C1 would be a much more compelling offering if it could at least pick reasonable defaults for the Lens Corrections.
