    I don't think so. You'll have to go through a third party software. You have Affinity Photo (rather cheap), GIMP (free but a bit complicated), but you would have to edit them with these softwares, which means editing from a TIFF created in C1.

    shame c1 isn't adding such a simple and useful option / plug in. Anyway I went for affinity, really easy process. thanks :)

    This question has been raised before.  One way to do it is by invoking a 3rd party script in an export recipe.  I documented one way to do this  somewhere on this site in the past.  Let me see if I can find that post...

    It uses a automator to create an "app" from a script that uses ImageMagick to add a border.  The "app" is selected in the "Open With..." section of an export recipe to add the border after Capture One does its export processing.
