Exposure blending
Hi
Am enjoying the new exposure blending tool. Watched your tutorial on it, tried it, worked fine. Great. Tried it a few more times, including this evening. Blended 3 lots of three photos. Each blended and came out really well. Once done, it asked me if I wanted to see the photo and I clicked to say I did. As said, all worked well. However, once done when I went into Explorer, I could each blended photo with the HDR extension (DNG file). I can each is 148MgB but when I try to open, it opens as a thumbnail, on its side and looks it's 5Kb. This has happened a number of times. Don't know what I am doing wrong. Please advise.
ps I am getting amessage when I try to export each blended photo that says "The selected recipe will not be used for processing because it is not enabled. Press OK to continue." I press OK and it gets on with it.

Tim,
The DNG file created by the blend is like a RAW file prepared for further editing activity. It's not intended to be a finished image.
Open it in Capture One, perform any other edits you may wish to perform and then export it to a jpg or tiff or whatever format you wish to export it so.
The message you mention indicates that you are viewing the image in C1 using an "export" recipe but that the currently highlighted recipe has not been ticked to be used as part of an export process. In other words, the Export will not use the currently visible recipe's settings. Whether it may use any other recipe that you may wish to use (it is possible to export using several different recipes at the same time) is not something one can comment on without knowing what you had selected on screen.

Thanks SFA, I'll give that a go.
