Some of the selected variants are read-only & update engine

Hi

I have just bought Capture One FujiFilm 21 to upgrade from my older version Capture One 11. I noticed that some images gave me the message to update engine. So I did. With some images all went well, but with others I still get the message "upgrade engine" but it doesn't allow me to do it. How can I solve the problem?

The other issue is that whilst Exporting some images I get the error message: some of the selected variants are read-only. I have tried to figure out if it was doing it with old images that were not shot on Fuji, but not. 

I work on a Mac with Big Sur. I checked whether I have read & write permission on the images and I do. I am lost. Would anyone help me? I appreciate your help soooo much!! I have spent a few hours already and I can't think anymore! Sorry I guess I am a newbie :)
