Tethering issue Sony / Mac Mini & USB Hub

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue and if they found any solutions?

I have a Sony A6600. - I've been tethering on windows with no issues. But I just bought myself a Mac Mini, and as you know their ports are limited, so I also got a caldigit elements usb hub. 

Having the camera connected to the USB hub doesn't work properly. It connects to the capture one, I can see all the camera settings, I can even change them, but when I take a picture, the image doesnt get transfered to capture one. In fact I can see the buffering icon which shows that the picture is being saved loading again and again and again. 

However, if I connect the camera directly to the Mac, it works with no issues.

I've already followed the original Capture one documentation and all that, and nothing really helped.
