identifying computers for disable
I am trying to do a little house keeping and when I view my license, it shows I have more than three computers activated. The computers are listed as "computer 1", "computer 2", etc., with the most recent activation as "computer 1". I would like to have only 3 activation and be able to identify them in the list as "Studio", "Edit" and "Field". Is there anyway to identify "computer n" or should I just deactivate everything and start over?

I have a similar issue where my license shows two activated ID computers even though I only have one desktop that I use for C1. I put in a tech support request a week ago asking if I need to manually deactivate the other computer shown and why does C1 shows different ID's for the same computer - no response to date.

Bill,
If you have only ever installed on one computer you would expect only one ID. If you have at some time changed from one computer to another without de-activating on the original computer you would also see two activations.
However, if you have at some point updated the computer with a significant configurations change there is potential for it to be treated as a different system. That is just one possible example of why you might end up seemingly multiple activations. There may be others.
If you de-activate both using your account interface and then re-activate when asked to at start-up of Capture One you should end up with one active activation.
But unless it is bothering you or you need to activate a second computer using the same license and have no activations left (assuming you are not using an Express free version) there is probably no necessity to take that action at this time.

Thanks SFA. I have only installed and used C1 Pro (Sony) on one computer (Win10). So you are telling me the usual (and frequent) Windows updates are the source of C1 treating my computer as different CPU's.
Something I noticed today. A week ago my license showed two computer ID's. Today It shows three (3) different computers - and the dates that were previously ID-ed as Computer 2 are now computer 3. Computer 1 and 2 show activated programs. Computer 3 shows an activation and deactivation.
I am scheduled for a 2-week vacation cruise in April and would like to load either my C1 Pro into a laptop to take with me or a copy of C1 Express (Sony). I had issues with C1 Express 2 years ago (stopped loading / functioning after a few months) so removed it from the laptop and have not attempted to re-load it since.
That Express license showed up a week ago in my "View License" but has disappeared as of today.
So, your recommendation is to deactivate all current license's shown and restart C1 to reboot it with current license to end up with one activation.
