    The information here

    https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002406498-Which-version-of-Capture-One-will-work-on-my-Apple-operating-system-

is that Capture One 14.4.1 is only supported up to Monterey 12.0.1.  It is possible, I suppose that your version of Capture One and your version of MacOS are not compatible - that could mean that while it works in some respects, some issues may arise. Even the latest version of Capture One only officially supports MacOS up to Monterey 12.1.

    Thanks Ian for your help.

What do you suggest? Upgrade to Capture One Pro 22?

    Cheers,

    Luís

You could test out the free trial before you commit yourself!

It is a good tip .-) Maybe I will do that.

    Thanks Ian.

This is happening to me too. I am running Capture One Pro 22 on an M1 Mac, Monterey.

I am doing everything in the library module, by creating a folder on the drive I need to move the files to and dragging them into it. It all appears to work until I click on any image, then C1 immediately crashes.

In my case the library file is on the drive I want to move the image files to. If I use the export method, I either have the choice of a consolidated catalogue, which looses all of my folder structure or another copy of a catalogue that won't connect with the images on its own drive.

The catalogues I make either verify correctly but display this behaviour or crash C1 on verification.

I can't think of anything I haven't tried. Is there something I am missing, or is it a huge bug?

Luís Filipe da Cunha did you manage to get around this issue while running Capture One 21 (14.4.1.16) on macOS Monterey 12.2.1?

I noticed Chris Bennett had a similar issue on Capture One 22 so I am curios to find of if any of you managed to get around this issue or if it was fixed in perhaps another subsequent version of macOS Monterey?

    Hi Ivan,

I am currently using C1 23 Pro and macOS Ventura. Without any kind of problem. I hope you resolve your situation .-)

Thanks for your response Luís Filipe da Cunha

Unfortunately for various reasons I didn't end up upgrading to Capture One 23 at the end of last year and hence still on Capture One 21 which works just fine, but I do want to upgrade my macOS for other reasons hence my interest in your case and in particular about running Capture One 21 on macOS Monterey (not Ventura).

I will likely upgrade my Capture One version at some point, perhaps during the next batch offer period, but for now I will make due with Capture One 21 as it provides me with all the functionality I need and hopefully I will figure out what version of macOS Monterey I should go with.

Yeah! Do what's best for you and when you can. The latest is not always the best, but... some compatibility problems can be solved with updates.
    All the best.
