    Hi Michele Borgarelli,

know this is a feature request. But the transfer of masks is possible - If I understand your request correctly.
Use the Copy & Apply tool to transfer a layer with its masks to another image. IF you want to get rid of the layer settings, create a new layer - copy the mask and you're good to go.

    HI Andi,

thank you for considering my request. Unfortunately, copy a mask is not the same thing of being able to combine two images (for example one image taken for the star and the same with lighting of the subject). Other less sophisticated software let you to do this and I believe it would make Capture one probably the best editor software on the market.

    Kind regards

Ok - I got it wrong - some sort of "overlay layer" or double exposure feature. So, copying another image as a mask is possible, but overlaying another image with a mask is not possible. - that's right.
In my opinion, that would contradict the concept of Capture One as a non-destructive raw data converter. But you could also just see it as a double exposure. Who knows what the future brings.

    Andi,

other software such as Luminar Neo for example, are non-destructive raw data converter. Indeed, they combine two images as "image layer".

Also the link you sent to me is referring to the possibility to copy and past adjustments, no masks....

    Best regards

    Michele

I know Luminar Neo offers layers/overlays. I just wanted to point out that masks from layers in another file can be transferred with the settings as shown in the Video. The masks are transferred with the layers. I wish you a good start into the week, didn't want to be annoying.
    Best Andi
