Integrating session images and adjustments (only) into a referenced catalog
Short form: In file terms, what ARE the adjustments in a session and where does C1 expect to find them when importing FILES with Include Adjustments enabled?
With all the context:
At home I use a referenced catalog on a desktop computer. On the road I want to use a session on my laptop to temporarily hold images and the adjustments I make on the road.
When I get home, I want the catalog to contain the adjustments I made in the session, and I want the original images stored in the file system (e.g., Pictures/CaptureOneOriginals/2022/RoadTripMarch2022) as if there never had been a session. In other words, the session is a temporary expedient for travel that I want to delete after integrating the files and adjustments into the catalog.
Experimenting, I can import a session into the referenced catalog by specifying <session>/RoadTripSession.cosessiondb. But I get a lot of stuff I don't want -- Session Folders and Albums, etc. And the originals are in the wrong place in the filesystem.
I suspect that what I need to do instead of importing the session is to move the originals from the session's Capture folder to their usual location on the home computer, temporarily put the adjustments with them, then import the FILES (not the session), specifying Include Existing Adjustments. But in file terms, what ARE the adjustments and where does C1 expect to find them when importing files?

In the folder where an image is stored (e.g. Capture or Selects), there is a subfolder stucture CaptureOne\Settings141 containing .cos files (and .comask files if you have layers). 141 is the C1 version no.
When you import images incl. adjustments, C1 looks in this folder structure, so keep it when moving your files. You can keep these files as kind of a backup. They will not be used by the catalog after import but can be used by any arbitrary session in the future.

Thanks very much -- it worked. After importing images+adjustments, deleting <session>/Capture/CaptureOne did no harm. I am ready now for a field trip, and can integrate images from old sessions.

Enjoy your trip.
