tethered nikon issues

I am a first-time installer of CaptureOne (22).  I hope that some of my frustrations are oversights on my part.  If not, I want my money back.

1. Connect Z7 II with Nikon z 50mm \f1.8 via tethertools cable.  CaptureOne does not see any lens data nor will it allow me to take images in RAW.  What am I missing.  Camera is set to RAW.  I haven't taken any jpeg images in a decade.

2 Connected my D850 with a 24-70 \f2.8 vr using a tethertools cable and the software still will not recognize the lens.  RAW worked, however.

Autofocus did not work in either instance.

Please tell me what I missed or send me a refund.

    You do something wrong with connecting your camera, I also shoot with a Z7 II, everything is working without any faults, are you sure to be in tethered shooting mode?
