File / Folder synchronising IN SESSIONS
Hi! I have Capture1 / 21. / 14.1.
Don't use catalog only sessions. How can I synchronise folders in sessions? Also I changed the file name (for the experiment) in Finder and it didn't sync file names in Capture1.
Another problem. I'd like to move all sessions from hard drive to my cloud and I'm worried the it wont work. Could you give me advice how to do it safely? Thank you in advance.
Kind regards Irina

Why do you think it is necessary and what exactly do you plan to achieve?

Irina,
There is no need to "sync" when using a session. The act of opening a folder reads everything in the folder and should find any new files that are compatible and not filtered out of your active view selections.
If you change a file name outside C1 I would expect that you will end up with a new file (the new name of the old file) next time you "open" the folder. It will have no edits.
Meanwhile, the edits, thumbnails and previews for the old file name will have been orphaned in the subfolders where they were created.
Best advice is to change names, if you need to, using the C1 options provided.
As for the "cloud" option - it may work but unless you have very small sessions and a very fast connection to the cloud with unlimited data capacity guaranteed it might not be the best way to go. Hacking a few phone generate jpgs might be OK but some serious work on high resolution RAW files ... I'm not so sure.
