C1 22 comments and wish list
I've been using C1 22 for a few months now and would like to say how happy I am with the features and performance of the this version. The addition of HDR and panorama stitching tools is fantastic. C1 is now very close to the only post-processing software platform I will ever need. But, I also want to take the opportunity to offer a few wish list items for consideration by the development team:
1) Now that you have a panorama stitching tool, how about adding a tool to process focus stacks? That would be a fantastic addition.
2) How about adding the option to choose an area or group of pixels with the dropper tool (e.g. for white balance)? The current tool seems to pick a single pixel, which is not ideal when the image is grainy (e.g. when trying to do rough color adjustments to a 'scanned' transparency or negative).
3) And with respect to processing 'scanned' negatives, what about a set of styles (or an external style package) to quickly set color reversal parameters for a selection of common color negative film stocks? I think the 'heritage' version of C1 has some sort of capability to do this and it would be a nice addition to the 'pro' version since processing camera raw files from 'scanned' negatives is becoming more popular.
Thanks for making such a great product.

Hi Byron,
This is only a user-to-user forum. Your suggestions are very good, and I personally would be very happy if they were implemented. But the right place to submit them to the staff is "submitting a request", on the top right corner of this page.

Byron,
The work around for the single pixel picker:
Create a new filled adjustment layer (I name it Blur)> set the both the Clarity and Structure to -100> take sample
You can adjust the opacity of the layer to your liking. For vey small areas -100 at full opacity may be too strong.

Gerald, That's an ingenious work around. I'll give it a try. Thanks.
