Best way to setup C1 or Chronosync to continuously backup to external SSD drive while tethered
I'm starting to shoot tethered a lot more, because of the improved connectivity with USB-c connections and realizing I need to have a "continuous" backup of my work going to an external SSD, something like the Samsung T7, to keep things safe, not just waiting till the shoot is over (or there's a significant break) before backing up.
Are people running these "continuous" backups during shoots via C1 or Chronosync?
Are you able to do a true "continuous" backup or are you setting it to backup at timed intervals or even waiting to do the backup during setup changes?
I'm looking to do this during portrait and lifestyle shoots, where I'm shooting quite fast and, honestly, sometimes pushing the buffer, so I don't want to slow my throughput down any more than it already is. I keep my MBP very lean and mean, but Canon R5 files are big!
Appreciate any feedback on best practices and optimal settings in C1 and in Chronosync if that's the best solution.
Thanks!!

Hi Nick
There was a time a few versions ago that you could set capture one to backup to an external drive during tether - it work great. This feature just disappeared. I am not sure when. The feature is available in the Enterprise edition I believe. Removal of features is a pretty ordinary way to treat current customers if you ask me! Put it back I say.0
