Images not shown when I import a catalog

This seems to be a bug that started with version 22.
Try clicking on any other folder in the Catalog (or Session) and the images will appear in the Browser, then you can go back to the one you wanted to work on and they will all be there. That's what works for me, anyway.

A minor irritation, but not a big deal. Trust they're onto it and will be fixed in an upcoming update, but if you want to make sure, submit a Support Request (click [Submit a request] top-right corner). This is only a user forum, there's no-one here that can actually fix it

I don't have any other folder to click. It's empty. Nothing shows up. What can I do?

Umm, ok, I'm relatively new as well but I'll try to help as best as I can.

Could you clarify what you mean by "exported the collection as a catalog".
    (1) I'm not sure what you mean by "exported ... as a catalog". Did you already have a collection in a Catalog and export it to a new Catalog? Or did you create a new Catalog from a Session? Or are you just exporting the images to create an edited copy? (either into the same folder or another one)
    (2) What do you mean by "collection"? A Capture One User Collection that shows in the Library tab, or did you mean you just selected a number of images by clicking on them?
I can only make guesses as to what you're trying to do and what you actually did, so what would be helpful to make it a lot clearer for me is if you could attach a screenshot that shows the Library tab and the Export dialog box.

Firstly, I imported 10 photos using the import button I edited them and then I exported the collection as a catalog to be able to edit them again next time

When I open the .cocatalogdb it won't show the edited images though and it just shows this

This certainly looks like the bug I was talking about, but it could be something even simpler. There are a number of possibilities and suggestions I could make but would only be guessing. What I need to see is the Library.
Near the top-right where you have the 3 circles in orange showing the Color tools tab, click on the left-most tab to show the Library.
Then, if the first line shows > Library, click on that line to expand it so the arrow points downward, and do the same for all the headings below that. Right at the bottom, collapse the Filters tool so the arrow is >, not downward.

You may well then work it out. If not, go to captureone.com > Get Started > Importing & Organising (mid-left under TUTORIALS). It's only 6min.

If still no help, send me a screenshot with your Library and I'll see if I can work it out from there.

Sorry for the long delay in responding but we're probably in different time-zones. I'm guessing you're in UK, Eu or US? I'm in Sydney

Thanks Boris - I'm a new user too and was tearing my hair out over the same problem. It was indeed the "Library" button that was hiding everything from me.

Ok, no probs. After your last message I started wondering whether you were even aware of the Library tab. Glad it's been resolved.
Whenever you open C1 it always goes to the Catalog/folder/collection you were using when you last closed it. You may find sometimes when you open C1 that this problem still happens. It's an intermittent problem. As I mentioned in the beginning, just click on another folder, or if you have a more than one Catalog, open one of the other ones.

There are many more tutorials on youtube about Catalogs & Sessions. Some are an hour or so but well worth watching. David Grover seems to be the most knowledgeable but other people have different ways of explaining things.
Even tho C1 is easier to use than some other photo editors and more intuitive, you'll never figure out everything yourself. It's worth spending some time watching the various tutorials, and if you encounter any problems always check the User Guide first which you can download (captureone.com > Support)

Ah, ok Troz, sorry, now I get it :-) No wonder some of you first comment seemed odd lol
    No worries OP, you're welcome.
(PS excuse my ignorance but what's OP? . . .  original person?? or is that your initials? Your name is not shown here anywhere - is that intentional? because I had a problem here too when I first joined this forum where my name wasn't showing even tho I entered it in my account details, so I submitted a Support Request and it was fixed straight away)

There are also some Capture One Facebook groups you might be interested in joining.

All the best to both of you and enjoy Capture One

OP = "original poster", ie the person who started the thread, usually.
