What parameters cause a jpg or jpeg file to be "view only"? Pixel dimensions, color space, etc? What are the specifications that cause view only?

  One of the parameters is pixel dimensions. See the release notes here

  where it says

  • Smallest supported file for editing: minimum side of 512 pixels.
