Sync Metadata doesn't work

I've got a description in 65 images that doesn't need to be there. I've manually removed it from one image but I can't get it to be removed from the other 64 by selecting the others like in Lightroom and clicking on Sync Metadata. What's the right way to do this in C1?

    Sync metadata doesn't mean taking image no. 1 and copying the metadata to images 2-65. It means syncing with an outside app. So if you set a star rating in Photo Mechanic, for example, you can sync metadata to make sure you get the same rating in Capture One as well.

    You can do what you want like this.

    • Delete the Description in Image 1.
    • Select the other images too - make sure that Image 1 remains the primary selection - the one with the wide white border. 
    • Click the double headed arrow in the Metadata tool.

    This will bring up the adjustments clipboard.

    Make sure that Description (and nothing else) is checked, as shown in my screenshot, then you can use Apply to copy the blank description to all the other images at once.
