External drive - Cannot store file in current location

Hello guys,

New to C1 and having trouble with raw files stored on an external hard drive.

My catalog file is also on this external drive and when I try to add pictures to my catalog. C1 prompts me a message saying that it cannot store file in current location and advise me to copy the file to the catalog folder... which obsiously is not something I would like to do...

Any help with this ?
