Quickly change folder structure for all folders in a catalogue?

Hello,

Is there a way to change the folder structure of all folders in a catalogue in batch? I have several hundred folders all structured as d:\events\folderA...d:\events\folderZ. I need to change them to be simply d:\folderA...d:\folderZ. Is there any way to do that without "locate" one-by-by?
