Import fail on keyworded NEFs

    Those .NEFs are from a Nikon camera and not from some other NEF-writer like scanner software, right? As far as I know, LR6 does not overwrite .NEFs. So what did, somewhere between the camera and LR?

    Thanks OddS, you're right, the keywords must be in the .xmps. I don't know why some of my NEFs are uploading and some not. They are from a Nikon D60 and a Nikon D7000. Failures from both. I can't remember what RAW setting I used on the D7000 and I see that it had compressed/lossless option and 14 bit/16 bit option. However Capture One just says the NEFs will all load when I look it up.

    I wonder where to from here?

    Are the troble-NEFs straight out of camera or have they been operated on by software other than LR and Capture One? If yes, what software?

    All my NEFs have been copied from camera to Mac, prior to capture one I only ever used LR or adobe camera raw.

    Your best option is probably to contact Capture One support via the "Submit a request" link in the upper right corner of this page. Easter Holiday may delay the response...
