C1 equivalent to PS LUT?

Good morning.  I'm trying my best to reduce the amount of time I spend doing round trips to Photoshop.  A friend recommended using PS's LUT (Look up Tables) to help color grade images, on a separate layer.

Wouldn't adding a separate layer in C1, and then using C1's powerful Color Editing tools result in exactly the same thing?

    Yes, you could use a separate (filled) layer and the Colour Balance and Colour Editor tools. But there are no LUTs as such.

    Thanks Ian.  I guess I don't know what the real value of Adobe's LUT is.  More study required.

    Neither do I - I haven't ever used LUTs.
