"Copy from mask" with a luma range has a weird glitch
I make a layer, draw a mask, use Luma Range ... and then I make another layer, use "Copy from mask" ... and because it's a luma mask layer copy, it won't let me erase any part of the new layer, and for some reason major glitches happen when trying. And it has happened on different photos, in different sessions. I placed both the COLogs and EIP of the photo I was working on at this link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/yg2q9hyzked5qhv/AADWrbE76b3SwZXLRMJa9AhWa?dl=0
And here is a video showing the issue: https://youtu.be/oKKG0_wNUSI

I wish I had a solution for you, but I don't. Although, I would like to add, that I've had similar issues with copying luma range masks. I've submitted technical service requests on more than one occasion over the past 6 months. C1 says they can not reproduce these problems "in house" so there seems to be no push for a fix.

Rasterize the layer and you can do what you like.

@shanebaker - I know about rasterizing a layer but usually, ever since I begin working with capture one a few years ago, the moment I would try to brush on a layer that needs rasterization a pop-up window would display saying just that; yet what I’m showing in the video is a completely different thing: I can draw on the copied luma mask layer but with very weird glitches, hence why I am posting it here and also submitted a ticket, so they can investigate.

Does Capture One actually check here at all? I did submit a ticket to them but thought they might also visit here in the forum, but maybe I'm mistaken.
