Add support for .HIF (HEIF) 10-bit 4:2:2 for Sony cameras
Please add support for both import & export of 10-bit 4:2:2 .HIF files (HEIF) that are captured by Sony cameras. I'm specifically interested in these files from the new Sony A7iv, but my understanding is that Capture One 22 does not support these files for other Sony Alpha cameras either.
Serious amateurs and pro's alike (think sports/action photographers) would benefit greatly being able to shoot with this format to conserve file space (.HIF files are nearly 50% smaller than their JPEG counterparts, and with 10-bit 4:2:2, have a wider color gamut).

Are you saying that Capture 22 don't support Sony A7Rii either?

No, he isn't.
HEIF/HEIC wasn't even A Thing when that camera was introduced.

Jeff, support will surely be coming (I'd like it for my Canon R5 too) but it's not a sufficiently mainstream format yet to make its support a no-brainer - I know that despite trying numerous official OS-level "solutions" I still can't get my Windows PC to recognise them, for example - so I think patience is the key.

Thank you.
Another question as it seems that it is quicker to ask questions here.
What is the full price in UK £'s for Capture 22 Pro. I received a link today that expires at midnight for £199 and that includes 25% off which doesn't seem correct..

Hi,
I'm sorry that my first post is a critical one. A file format doesn't have to be "mainstream" to be adopted. We are niche of professionals. HEIC is supported by Sony, THAT should be enough to be a priority. DARKTABLE, a free program, has it and it works well!
