live view at 100 percent issue

I need to use live view when setting up my shots.  

When at 100 percent, the visible area jumps to the top left ,meaning i am unable to see part of the image.

when i use the live view navigator or the hand tool on the main live view screen, the image jumps back to the top left. 

In the live view navigator, you can see that the orange square is out of sync with the grey square. 

I can move it with the little joystick on the back of the camera, but when ever i move it again, it jumps back. 

Is there a way to independently move the orange square on the live view navigator or to drag the visible area using my computer as the camera is set up quite far away from the subject?
