Save Metadata to file;
When using LrC we can Save Metadata to file; therefore, if one loses the catalog or does not back up, we can re-import all the images and keep all the previous adjustments. Is there something like this possible in C1 catalog? I know we can export as EIP in a catalog. In a session, we can pack as EIP very quickly without export. I guess what would be the best workflow for this kind of issue if someone gets a corrupted catalog and does not have a backup. Where are the xmp settings or does C1 use a different file for the settings?

If you want to embed metadata into a file with Capture One, you need to export as a TIFF, JPG, etc.
But if you're thinking of doing this as a backup, you can export the original images and specify to include adjustments. The result will be your original Raw files + a folder containing all C1 adjustments. Combine all of this into a folder and save it somewhere. If you then want to get everything back, just import the folder into C1—your adjustments, metadata, tags, etc. will all be there.
