scrap metal
Good day, As a successful photographer and trainer in the field of advertising photography (300 students per year in Germany, Austria and Switzerland), I also recommended CaptureOne, among others. After your 40% price increase, at a time when we are all fighting, I can no longer recommend you. Paying more than 200 euros as an "update" from 21 to 22 is cheeky when you consider that the program just sucks. Crash and rendered images that won't open. I can't tell you how much I'm throwing up about your system. I've been there since 2006 through PhaseOne, that was the longest time. I'm fed up!

Nobody cares about your opinions, Richard - hard to take them seriously when you can't even post in the correct format or the correct forum.

Jesus, what a mess this post is.
in what position do you work for PhaseOne?
I'm a user, not staff. You would know - if you'd put any effort into it before complaining - that this is a user-to-user forum.
You would also know - again, if you'd put any effort into it before complaining - that Capture One software is nothing to do with Phase One as a company: the software company split off from the camera manufacturer years ago.
Finally - and in the same spirit as the two comments above - this link is at the top of every single page on the forum:
https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
So instead of uselessly whining on here about your problems - and assuming they relate to the software and not another company's cameras - you could actually do something useful and talk to Capture One.
You're a teacher? Seriously?

Hello Keith R First of all: English is not my mother tongue.
My apologies for my bad tone, I had too much wine at work.
And thank you for taking the time to reply to me.
My frustration with the system has its history:
I've been working with CaptureOne since 2006 because of PhaseOne.
It used to be free, now it's very expensive. To date,
there are the same errors in the program, which have never been fixed.
They appear and disappear again. That's annoying. Comment on how this
post came about: In the last two years I have lost over 70,000 euros.
No photo training and no trade fairs. There has also been a decline
in advertising photography. Many fellow photographers out there are
even worse off. They live on alms. Exactly during this time, CaptureOne
increases the annual fee by 40%. If only it would run more reliably then.
The post came about when every 10th JPG image was destroyed during rendering.
It used to happen more often, it was almost good for a while, and it's back
with the 22Pro version. Ever since CaptureOne broke up with OhaseOne, they've
been ramping up costs, constantly implementing new stuff, rather than fixing
the base of the system. This is my very personal experience.0
