    Hello,

I have the german version of C1, but the names of the mac-vesion shoud be similar.
When you activate the folder symbol on the left side of C1, then you see on the top
    "Bibliothek"
Directly under this, you shoul see your catalog  "Katalog: xyz"

Move your mouse on this name, without any click and then appears the full path of your catalog.

    Hope it helps.

It very much does, Peter, thank you! But now my follow-up question is: how do I change this location if I want the catalog stored in a different folder? And/or a related question, how do I set the location in first place?

To move the catalog, copy (don't move) the folder with your catalog to another place  that you want.

Go to the new place, open the folder <new path>\CaptureOneCatalogs\CaptureOne

Then double klick on the file CaptureOne.cocatalogdb

Now C1 will open with the new path-catalog and will remember the new path, if you open it the normall way next time.

If all works like you want, then you can delete the catalog in the old path.

    Good luck.

To set the location in the first place...

When you create the new catalog, you should see a dialog box like this.

If you click on the ... next to where it says Location, you can choose where you want it to go.

    Thanks both for the help!!!

In other words, you don't change the location of the catalogue from within Capture One, you physically copy/move it and when you open it from the new location, Capture One will adjust. Sounds a bit strange, but so be it - and thanks for the explanation!

You should think of your catalog (or your session, if you are working in a session) as your document. You wouldn't try to move a Word document or an Excel spreadsheet from within Word or Excel while you were working on it.
