Import Tool finds pictures in other folders that are not selected and imports them

I create a new session and select one image to import, Capture One starts importing 632 images.

This issue started on version 21 and has carried over to 22.  When I open capture one 21, it opens into a previously created session.  I close the session File > Close Window.  I create a new session and reset the import tool.  I choose the folder where the image/s are that I want to import.  I select the image that I want to import.  The import tool confirms that I have only selected one image for import.  I click to process the import and the tool continuously finds other about 632 other images that are not even in the folder that I am importing from and imports those also.  I have tried deleting 21 and installing 22 and this behavior persists.  Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    Evan,

      I suspect that you are finding, as I have, that this user group may contain experts in photography but not so much in Capture1 technical issues.  This makes sense, of course, but if Capture1 doesn't have an actual expert keeping an eye out to step in when needed, then the value of this group is greatly diminished.  Plus, we don't seem to have an optional way to get the technical support that C1 obviously requires, given its many file-handling flaws.
