I am on a mac and have been shooting with c1 and nikons for more than 5 years. Those camera never went to sleep for me. And, yes, it sucked the batteries like a kid with a slurpy and a straw. It is even worse now with the mirrorless cameras. Those lcd screens are hogs!

Interesting. Our non mirrorless canon cameras like 5D mark 3 and 4 go to sleep when capture one is running. Oh well. I guess good luck getting any official response from the company.

My Canon R5 goes to sleep and then you cannot capture any images. Instead you literally need to restart CP1 or fire the shutter just to keep the system from crashing. I never had this issue with my Canon 5D3. It's super stressful when on location with an art director standing there. Even when explaining that everything worked just the other day or a few minutes ago.
