Would a watermark do the trick?

It would, but the constraints between taking and time needed to export usually 200+ watermarked images means it's not a practical solution. I'm not aware of a way to place a watermark on a photo without exporting it.

It would be much simpler if I could just overlay straight on the RAW files in the slideshow.

I'm not aware of a way to place a watermark on a photo without exporting it.

    • Create an Export recipe that has the watermark you want.
    • Select that recipe in the Export tool tab.
    • On the View menu check Recipe Proofing.
    • Start your slide show.

(In the Browser it will say Proofing at the top of the image, but in the slide show, that doesn't show but the watermark does.)

So no need to Export them first.

Ian, is there a way to stop the delay between the picture appearing in the slideshow and the overlay popping up? The time taken varies from almost instantly to over a second sometimes. What's happening?

    Thanks T

Not sure, I'm afraid. Probably it depends on the computer's processing power.
