Capture time

Capture One's sorting by date should put the images in capture time order. Have you changed the date or time using some other app, such as Exif Editor? I have sometimes used that for instance when I have forgotten to turn daylight saving time on or off in the camera. I found that the Exif information actually stores more than one date and time, and to get Capture One to sort by the corrected date and time I had to be sure to change the right one. (Which that is, I can't remember, so changing all the instances is best.) Here are three dates and times shown in Exif Editor. (All the same in this instance.)

Thanks for the info.  I think I figured out the problem.  Some of my jpegs shared file names with raws, but weren't the same photo.  Default preference in C1 is to prefer sidecar XMP over embedded metadata.  I unchecked this box and reloaded metadata for the jpegs and the dates are now correct.  Not sure if I should have this box checked or unchecked going forward.  I may have changed some capture times in the past using Lightroom and am not sure where that data was saved.  Also now I need to figure out how to rename all my photos so this won't happen again!  Unfortunately batch renaming does not seem to be an option in Capture One express, so I think I'll have to upgrade...
