Lens Recognition

Good afternoon all,

I use Capture One and note that although in the metadata tab the lens is correctly listed in the 'Lens Correction' tab the lens profile is set to 'Generic' - not the specific lens. Can anyone advise if this is what it should do and whether I need to adjust the 'Lens Correction' settings (i.e. select the appropriate lens) to maximise the image?

  Hi Paul,

  maybe that's because the Lens is not listed in the C1 Lens-Database? That means, that C1 has NO profile for that specific lens. You can easily check this by Lens Correcttion -> Profile. If it not listed -> not supported/ no correction data available.

  Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I should have mentioned that it is listed - which is why I am surprised it does not (automatically) recognise.

  Any suggestions?
