Cropping Controls via Midi / Tangent / Keyboard
Was testing the latest C1 demo and was upset to discover that it's still impossible to control cropping via the keyboard (And thus Midi / control surfaces.)
When editing 1000 wedding or competition images, I often have to control cropping and rotation of each shot, and being able to do so from the control surface makes it very efficient in Lightroom.
Lightroom has 4 critical sliders:
- x-offset
- y-offset
- scale
- rotation
By using these, you can zoom in on an image, then slide the zoomed in region in the X/Y axis , and rotate for alignment. I have 3 faders set to zoom and offset, and a rotary dial for angle of rotation.
This forces me to edit all competition shoots and bulk even shoots in Lightroom, which is a despairing situation, as despite this efficiency LR is a laggy pile of junk. However, the time saving of the above actually makes LR more efficient for these jobs.
Please, please, please, for the sake of all bulk editors, expose these controls in the next major release, so that I can finally once and for all uninstall Lightroom and never be subject to it again.

I hope they finally add it, so many people are waiting on it and its not like its a lot of work for them to do this! When will capture one finally listen to its user base?

I think only feature requests above a certain upvote threshold are acknowledged, so hit that button :)
I'm sat here screaming at Lightroom, wishing they'd bloody well get a shift on :/0
