Sony A7IV HIF files not recognized by Capture One.

I am a professional photographer from Milan. Why can't I open Sony A7 IV HIF files?
I'm using MacOS Monterey version 12.4. Seeing my colleagues using Adobe's Lightroom and being able to work on all files makes me uncomfortable and in great difficulty. I ask you for a solution or a quick update.

    This is a user forum. I suggest you contact Capture One.

    HIF/HEIC/HEIF files in general are a problem (or not - just shoot RAW) for Capture One, because any support it provides is OS dependent:

    The support is provided for Apple HEIC and other photos converted to 8-bit HEIF to the extent that those are supported by the underlying operating system.

    Oh - and as to your colleagues supposedly being able to do wonders with these files in Lightroom, maybe not so much:

    Lightroom and Camera raw support only HEIF/.heic files created with iOS devices.

    And only in Lr Mobile anyway, on MAC OS:

    iOS

    Lightroom for mobile (iOS) supports HEIF/.heic files on iOS 11 and later.
