Shortcut aspect ratio

    Found this thread because I needed a fast way to rotate the crop 90degrees to explore landscape/portrait using the keyboard not the mouse (4000 images, can't be wasting seconds reaching for UI elements) and sadly couldn't find a solution - Does anyone have any suggestions ?

    Now that styles can have shortcut keys applied, this is actually a very valid workaround - thankyou for pointing it out as the "Shortcuts for Styles" patchnote hadn't really caught my attention!!

    Ctrl+Alt+3  3:2 style

    Ctrl+Alt+5  4:5 style

    Ctrl+Alt+9  16:9 style

    And so forth. Brilliant!

    It doesn't address quickly flipping the current aspect ratio though, if you've any good ideas on that one I'd love to hear them as I've exhausted everything at this end :(

    3 more shortcuts (Or more, ratio's depending) instead of, say, pressing "X" to rotate the crop... I think that's stretching the workaround just a bit too far :)

    I think it might come down to individual workflows at this point, as an example if it takes me 2 seconds to drag the handles vs 1 second to hit a button and move the box, that's 5,000 seconds saved in a job of 5000 images. That's almost an hour and a half just from one button press alone.  That's why I have been crying out elsewhere for changes to the crop tool for a long time, because just a couple of tiny changes would save me hundreds of hours of work.   Lightroom has the right tools, but the performance is so awful it's actually faster to use a less ergonomic workflow in C1, which is why I'm here :)

    SFA - I sat down today to try and create some shortcuts as you suggested and completely failed. "Aspect" does not appear to be captured by saving a style unless the crop is also saved to the style, which means I can't get this to work.

    EG;

    Reset image, set Aspect Ratio to 4x5. The display now crops in a little to reflect the new aspect ratio.
    Now save style, tick ONLY "Aspect".
    Reset image, apply style.
    Nothing happens.

    (In fact the "Ratio" dropdown doesn't even update to reflect the preset's stored aspect ratio when you apply the preset!).

    Further it doesn't seem to matter if you define a custom ratio as 4x5 or 5x4, it doesn't affect the rotation of the current crop, only the proportions of the bounding box.

    This is a bit disappointing, as it means the above workaround doesn't work out - Unless of course there's a PEBCAK and you can see something I've overlooked?
