This isn't the place to discuss betas. But having said that, Ventura is not yet released - personally I had only heard of it earlier today - and if you are able to use it at all I assume you are using at best a beta version of it. So you are using a beta version of software on a beta version of an OS. What do you expect?

I know all you said Ian, nevertheless I think it’s a good thing to let developers know there is a problem, so they can probably fix it in beta 5….

btw, I also sent the crash data to Apple.

Yes, but as I understand it, if you are involved in a beta test for Capture One, then you have other channels to let the developers know about problems, other than a public forum such as this.

Use this to report problems: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/360000804998-Beta-Testing

And also note the following from that page:

For official Capture One Beta testers only. All information shared in this forum is strictly confidential and accessing this forum without signing a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is prohibited.

Perform a full unistall deleting app and "~/Library/Application Support/Capture One" stuff.

Install again and you are done :)

Tested on my m1 mac with Macos 13 Ventura

It's not optional, Rob - you don't get to choose whether or not you comply with the beta tester rules and restrictions:

    https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360013624717-Beta-discussion-is-strictly-prohibited-

Did you even look at the Beta agreement - which is perfectly clear about all of this - when you signed up?

The lesson here is not to use an Apple OS Beta's! I learned the hard way, and it is way way to early for any support.
