C1 15.2.2.4 - Tethering issues Sonyar3 - macOS Monterey 12.3.1
Tethering worked well and was never an issue - up to now. I have recently changed to macOS Monterey 12.3.1. Now, the cam connecting to C1 is very unreliable, sometimes it's working, sometimes not. Once the connection is established and C1 sees the cam, it works fine and reliable.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

Hello Madeleine Zweifel did you ever manage to resolve or get to the bottom of your tethering issues with macOS Monterey 12.3.1
I ask as I'm only now considering an upgrade to macOS 12.3.x and am keen to prevent any tethering issues.
Although I'm still running Capture One 21 and not Capture One 22 it would be good to know about your case as it could also be an issue with my slightly older Capture One version.0 -
Hello Ivan thank you for your msg. I managed to resolve the issue, it never happened since and the connection is stable and reliable as before. Although I'm not sure what ultimately caused this hiccup, I don't think it was the macOS Monterey 12.3.1 after all. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your response @Madeleine regarding Monterey 12.3.1 and getting a better picture of what combination of Capture One and macOS are running will hopefully help me ultimately.
Out of curiosity did you update your macOS Monterey version since e.g. any of the security patches that were released in subsequent macOS Monterey versions?0 -
Ivan So far, I'm running macOS Monterey, Version 12.6.1 and never had any tethering problems since. And for what my unsolicited advice is worth (and I'm sure you will do this anyway), it might be useful to have your time machine do a full back-up before upgrading, so to be able to restore your previous version in case of problems.

@Madeleine thank you once againg for your feedback.
It's encouraging to hear you are running on macOS 12.6.1, although you are running Capture One 22 not 21 (which hopefully are not all that different ¹) and I will definitely take a fresh time machine backup before contemplating any upgrade that could potential break things.
Warm regards
¹ The version number of macOS support seems to gradually increase with release notes of verious Capture One releases and perhaps they simply don't check or update compatebility of previous releases i.e. too big testing workload0 -
Ivan You're most welcome and good luck with your upgrade!
