Capture One & R5 in low light

I photographed for an event in low light condition and run into the problem that the skintone just looked really bad and no amount of editing could "fix" it.

When I used the standard canon DDP5 it gives really accurate skin tones. Like worlds in between.

It was even worse with UV-light in the mix. The standard canon export looks way more accurate then what I get in capture one. Even with havy editing it's hard to get even close.

Does anyone has suggestions for that kind of problem?

for dayligh conditions it looks just fine

and I can't belive I'm saying that, but in lightroom the skintone looks better out of the box

    You didn't specify if you are looking at a RAW image or JPG.  Adjusting tones in JPG is going to be more problematic and it might be that the DDPP is giving the similar results of the JPG from the camera settings.

    Just telling us that the skin tone is "bad" isn't going to help troubleshoot the problem, Tino.

    More details, an example image, and maybe access to a Raw file, is the way to go here.

    Not sure why - LightRoom does a lot of things better than Capture One.

    Including getting colours right.
