File (images) not entirely in name order.
I was looking in the All Images folder, which are in name order, and I clicked on a file name at the top of the thumbnail display and the image disappeared, but the total image count did not change. It moved the image into the correct place in alphanumeric order. This affected about the first thousand thumbnails, which appeared usually in sizable groups that were themselves in alphanumeric order, perhaps imported together. The same was true of the same files on the hard drive when viewing them in Finder until I clicked on the file name in Capture One. In other words, a group of files with a particular prefix would appear at the top of the thumbnail view or in Finder even though they belonged far below.
There must be some hidden bit of metadata that acts like a prefix with a value less than zero and moves the affected file's locations to the top of the name order list in Finder and in the Capture One All Images folder. Whatever metadata causes this is changed back when you click on the file name in Capture One. The question is, what made these files different and what is happening when clicking on the name?
I am using MacOS 12.4, and the last version of Capture One 21, but I have been seeing the same files out of alphanumeric order for a few versions of MacOS and Capture One.
