Anything Search as well as Media Pro?

The latest version of C1Pro freezes on our our Mac Pro running Mojave. And that basically says it's time to say goodbye to Media Pro as finally upgrade the OS (and maybe the computer).

I have looked at both Lightroom and C1Pro catalogs as substitutes. Both are inadequate. Our workflow has been to archive everything for a job and use MP to index it, typically one MP catalog per 2 TB drive. It's search capabilities are awesome, allowing me to search on many parameters across multiple drives/catalogs at a time. Plus I can even find pdfs (treatments, call sheets, etc), videos, and even indd. files!

Lightroom will search only one catalog at a time. I imagine a 4-5 2 TB drives per catalog will have it running slowly. And it's search parameters are limited. C1Pro catalogs, last I checked, saw only still images and, again, its search parameters were disappointing.

We're going to keep an old MBP around on Mojave to run MP. But, that's not a long term strategy. Has anyone found a good substitute?
