    Noticed the same.

It is however available from your accounts download page.

That maybe normal because the OTA update is gradually released, like windows or mobile phone updates.

You can find the Update under Download session on your CO account page.

Thanks Propheticus and Bruno.  I hadn't realised I could download the latest version from my accounts page.

I have my "check for updates" set to weekly but I have still not seen any releases since 15.3.0.  I had seen some fixes that I need identified as being in 15.3.1.  Having now checked for updates via my account, I see the latest is now 15.4.1!  This is not acceptable, since I am a paid subscribed.

What is not acceptable? The 15.3.1 (and .2) having a bug breaking the update checker? All software has some bugs, C1 perhaps more than others (in basic/common functions) but it's not done on purpose.
If you think you can't get 15.4.1 because the update checker is broken; you can, but you have to download it from your profile's download section manually.

p.s. the checker appears to have been fixed since 15.3.3

But logically, if there was a bug so that the updates didn't show up in the app, you could wait forever and still not see it. There was a bug, they fixed it - what's unacceptable?

How was I supposed to know there was a bug in the update process if I cannot see it and do not get an email or some other communication that the automatic process was not working?  That is what is unacceptable!

Why? Is Capture One preventing you from upgrading?.

By checking the forum? How do you think Propheticus et al know about the bug?

    1)  I was not prevented from upgrading; I was unaware an upgrade was available.

    2)  It is Capture One's responsibility to keep subscribers informed.  They cannot relinquish responsibility for communication to a forum, even if it is part of their own website.  I did, eventually, find the information, but via indirect routes while trying to solve a separate problem.

There is still no official announcement or acceptance of the existence of a bug in the upgrade process.

Well, you know about it now. I hope you enjoy 15.4.1.

Agree that the communication and transparency around (common/widespread) bugs is lacking currently. Not everyone frequents these forums and you shouldn't have to. Of course it's a good place to look when you run into an issue. The failing update checker however did not throw an error and seemed to work so you wouldn't even know there was an issue until you become suspicious about the lengthy absence of updates or actively look online from time to time.
