    no - even tried turning Kaspersky completely off - still getting that 30 day notice when I start the program.

    I suggest creating a support ticket. They are normally providing quick help.

    Yes - Windows 10

    Thanks - just asking because this is a common MAC problem (common enough to warrant a FAQ entry), but not so much with Windows:

    Thank you Keith, Michael, .. all for the help.  The problems seem to be resolved for now - and re Keith - yes, security seems to be an issue with Capture One on Windows as well.  I had to completely shut down my security (Kaspersky) to either activate or de-activate.  When my support ticket went a few days without a 2nd reply - I posted to their YouTube page - and they nudged tech support. (my next step would have been Facebook).  Anyway - my issue seems to be resolved by deleting a user/config file and letting C1 recreate a new one.

    I am having this same problem after updating- the webpage tells me "Authentication Complete", but on the splash screen there's a message "An error has occurred, please try again later."

    Ched, exactly what file did you delete?

    Well, crikey. Reading another thread here led me to the solution.

    I renamed the file

    C:\Users\SR\AppData\Local\Capture_One\CaptureOne_StrongName_d421ga4but0sklkc2aqcyyvj6oakugfh\15.3.2.12\user.config

    and it is working.

    @Steven Rice,

    Yes - the same thing happened to me.  I haven't heard back from tech. support either.  I've pretty much moved on from this and focused on learing ON1 and DxO PL5.  I don't have a need to teather anything, so there are better options out there for me - I'm just sorry I wasted SO much money on this program.

    Thanks Ched. I've used it for several years and am generally happy. I think most software has some weird bugs.

    I noticed during one of the "sign-in" PITAs that the first url that shows in my browser starts with "localhost" - if I had to guess, I'm guessing that my security software doesn't like the method that the program wants to use to talk to their servers; and it seems to want to do that all too often on start up, maybe the delay times out, and then I get errors and messages.  I don't know - I've been retired from the IT field for too many years now, and have no desire to troubleshoot a program that their tech support should be resolving.
