Can't connect to server without disabling Windows 10 Firewall first
Hello,
I am having trouble conecting to the Capture One 22 Server. I can connect fine if I disable Windows Firewall, but while it is activated the connection fails - I've tried connecting throguh iOS App (Capture Pilot) and Google Chrome (URL in address bar) in another computer without success. With either the firewall disabled or enabled the iOS app is able to see the server when it is running on host computer.
I've already added all executables inside Capture One folder as exceptions on Windows Firewall and it didn't fix anything.
Could someone help me using Capture One server with Windows Firewall enabled?
Regards

Seems the server won't open the apropriate firewall ports automaticaly so you need to do this yourself. First set the port number manually in Capture Pilot settings within Capture One. I would advise to select ports in the range of 49152–65535 to avoid any possible conflict with other network services. Also note you should use different port numbers for mobile and web if you plan on publishing to both.
Next you should add an allow rule in the firewall for the port or ports you have assigned in C1. To do so choose advanced settings in Windows Defender Firewall, right click on inbound rules from the list on the left and click on "New Rule". In the wizard that launches select Port as your rule type, TCP and the port number(s) you have set previously in C1 as your protocol and ports and "Allow the connection" as your action. Profile depends on your use case but I would advise against applying this rule on public networks. Then select a name for your new rule and you're done, Capture Pilot should work smoothly without disabling the firewall completely.
