Converting Aperture Library--OS version problem

Question for those who have experience converting from Aperture to Capture One: My wife is a long time user of Aperture, and had been putting off upgrading our OS (we are still on Mojave!) because they would no longer allow her to access her Aperture library. I convinced her to migrate to Capture One but Capture One 22 keeps crashing on Mojave. I think I need to be on an OS that is supported by both softwares to do a library importation. Is there any way to download an older version of Capture One? Or is there any way to access older Aperture libraries once you move off Mojave?

    I'm running 22.1.2.1 fine under Mojave; haven't needed to import an Aperture library, but everything else works fine (other than being slow on my ancient machines). I haven't upgraded beyond that because of issues I've seen reported in this and other forums and the incompatibility of later versions with 22.1.x libraries (new database format, I think).

    Anyway, you might try (in this order):

    1. Clear the C1 cache folder, which is in your User Library/Caches folder.

    2. Completely uninstalling C1 according to the instructions on their website and then reinstalling.

    3. Contact Capture One and ask if they can point you at a copy of C1 21, which is totally qualified for Mojave.

    Regarding importing an Aperture catalog:  Assuming you can get C1 to work on your 64 bit OS, you can just import the Aperture library(File/Import/Aperture Library). Even though Aperture will not run on the latest OS, this should not affect importing its library. I presume the engineers knew the Aperture Library to be imported would be from a version of Aperture that would not run on a 64 bit versions of Mac OS.

    Thank you for the advice, everyone. I've tried clearing the cache and dong a complete reinstall. While Capture One lasted longer this time, I eventually ran into the same crashing problem. Next, I'm going to reach out to support to see if I can get access to C1 21 to support migration.
